Doulas help make birth better!

The word doula is Greek for a woman who serves. They nurture, support, and offer expert guidance for families during their pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum time. There is incredible evidence that shows how birth doulas improve outcomes! From the beginning of time, people have been cared for and nurtured during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Family, friends, and neighbors from the community would rally around the new family to help guide them through their tender early weeks and months with a new baby. As your doula, I am able to provide physical, emotional, and informational support throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I deeply believe that every birthing person deserves unique support that meets their personal needs.

“My husband and I were expecting our first child and were naturally a bit nervous about how it all might go. Patricia was so organized and her presence very grounding during my pregnancy and throughout my VERY long labor and delivery. She helped us develop a birth plan and helped us roll with the unexpected and beautiful moments as the process unfolded, literally holding my hand the whole time. I would absolutely have Patricia again to steady me during the most important days of my life. I wonder if she knows what an impact she had on our experience.”
